Goalkeeper Almuth Schult is after almost three years before a comeback in the football national team.
The 31-year-old from VfL Wolfsburg is to be used in the World Cup qualifier of DFB women on April 12th (16:00 pm / ZDF) in Belgrade against Serbia. This was announced by national trainer Martin Voss-Tecklenburg at a video press conference.
“As a trainer, I want to get the feeling of how Almuth acts with the team when she stands in the square,” said Voss-Tecklenburg. “If everything runs normally, Almuth will play in the second game.” In the qualifier for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand 2023 on April 9th (16:10 pm / ARD) in Bielefeld against Portugal Merle Frohms should be between the posts.
